Senior Director, Category Management and Procurement Technology and AI

Salary: $206,500–$393,000 per year

What you will do

• Own global procurement strategies and end-to-end category management for technology spend, including AI and emerging platforms.
• Provide accountability for technology categories, portfolio execution, procurement priorities, budgets, and value delivery.
• Lead category management plans, complex programs, transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement across processes, governance, systems, and reporting.
• Partner with technology leadership, the Chief Procurement Officer, and cross-functional stakeholders to align procurement with technology roadmaps and scientific needs.
• Translate complex analysis into strategic insights, financial impact assessments, and executive recommendations.
• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of category managers while building procurement capabilities and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in science, business, finance, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of strategic sourcing and procurement experience, with 5+ years in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or similar fast-paced industries preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in technology procurement and experience leading complex category portfolios and teams.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law, financial analysis, and global procurement complexities.
• Experience with transformation initiatives and change management.
• MBA or relevant MS/PhD, procurement or supply chain certification, and experience with Coupa, SAP, or Ariba are preferred.
