Senior Counsel, Global Alliances Legal (Aesthetics, Toxins and Eye Care)

Location: Hybrid; in-office at least 3 days per week at Abbott Park in North Chicago, Illinois, or hirify.global campuses in Irvine or South San Francisco, California.

Salary: $160,500–$305,000 base pay annually, plus eligible benefits and long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Shape and manage strategic external collaborations from discovery through commercialization.
• Advise Global Alliances teams in Aesthetics, Toxins, and Eye Care across pharmaceutical and device lifecycles.
• Interpret complex licenses, collaborations, and alliance agreements and provide clear legal guidance to business and senior leadership.
• Draft, review, and negotiate licenses, collaboration agreements, co-development, co-promotion, and complex R&D agreements.
• Partner with R&D, strategy, business development, commercial, intellectual property, litigation, and other corporate functions.
• Support due diligence, transaction structuring, alliance amendments, restructurings, and integration planning.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and compliance with professional licensing requirements in the state of practice.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with life-science transactions, global collaborations, pharmaceutical R&D, or aesthetics products.
• Large-firm experience at an Am Law 100 firm or in-house experience at a major pharmaceutical or life-sciences company.
• Advanced legal analysis and communication skills, strong business judgment, initiative, and ability to work autonomously.
• Basic understanding of scientific, development, regulatory, and commercial concepts in early- and late-stage programs.
• Scientific education or a strong interest in learning biology and chemistry fundamentals is preferred.
