Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including injection and blow molders, fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers.
• Maintain facilities and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, reverse osmosis systems, water filtration equipment, and general plant systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and testing equipment.
• Maintain industrial control systems, modify and lubricate equipment, and complete repairs safely and on schedule.
• Collaborate with operators, supervisors, preventative maintenance mechanics, and senior maintenance technicians to resolve recurring equipment issues.
• Document repairs, work orders, parts usage, and material consumption throughout each shift.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in maintenance or a similar field, in the position, and managing people or projects; six years is preferred.
• High school diploma required; an associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, automation, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process instrumentation schematics.
• Experience with shop equipment, precision measuring tools, power tools, and basic fabrication; the role requires an own toolbox and basic tools.
• Experience with industrial equipment and technologies such as VFDs, servo drives and motors, PLC input/output cards, safety modules, communication buses, chillers, and air compressors.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments, work independently, train others, and follow plant safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
• Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
• Experience with 480VAC and 24VDC electrical systems, AS-i Bus, CAN Bus, ProfiBus, Ethernet, and MIG, TIG, or stick welding.
