Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Lancaster, New York, USA; onsite, 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday

Salary: $55,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-controlled production equipment.
• Troubleshoot automated equipment failures and initiate repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning, machine changeovers, and tooling replacement.
• Adjust and replace electrical sensors used in assembly machines.
• Open and close the facility, start up and shut down equipment, and switch to generator power during emergencies.
• Handle machinery rigging and movement, spill responses, pest control, and equipment improvement suggestions.

Requirements

• Knowledge of pneumatics, ladder logic, basic electrical systems, and PLC equipment.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school plus 2 years of experience repairing PLC-controlled equipment, or a high school diploma plus 6 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing industry experience.
• Forklift and scissor lift certifications required.
• Ability to use metalworking equipment and read equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics.
