Entry-Level Environmental Quality Assurance Professional (Environmental Science)

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, USA; based in the Knoxville office. Field work and 20–30% travel are required.

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year.

What you will do

• Conduct field inspections, oversight activities, environmental sampling, and related work in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Support project control documents, technical reports, permit reviews, data interpretation, and graphical presentations.
• Review Chain-of-Custody records, field data, laboratory receipt information, and environmental sample deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop proficiency in field sampling, inspections, data collection, QA/QC review, data reporting, synthesis, and analysis.
• Communicate with project managers, internal teams, clients, and client contractors about schedules, budgets, and potential issues.
• Follow company safety rules and OSHA regulations while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related science field from an accredited college or university.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail, systematic problem-solving ability, and capacity to work collaboratively.
• Ability to work across large project areas and varied terrain and weather conditions; must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to work from the Knoxville, Tennessee office and complete required field work and travel.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of field sampling experience.
• Familiarity with Sampling Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans, environmental investigations, and remediation.
• Experience with third-party oversight of field or laboratory data generation, QA plans, or data systems.
