Plant Controller (Manufacturing Accounting)

What you will do

• Provide financial oversight, reporting, analysis, and business partnership to plant leadership and Corporate management.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account analysis, inventory costing, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounting for fixed assets, capital projects, maintenance spending, spare parts, and plant turnarounds.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, cost statements, operational reports, and variance analyses.
• Manage plant Accounts Payable activities, tax analyses, and internal and external audit support.
• Supervise professional and clerical accounting staff while implementing process improvements and maintaining internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing accounting.
• Experience supporting complex manufacturing plants with high volumes of capital projects, multiple products, and multiple departments.
• Knowledge of GAAP, FASB, AICPA requirements, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications and intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and follow detailed procedures.

Nice to have

• CPA or MBA.
• Public accounting experience.
• Familiarity with SAP accounting systems.
