Assistant Plant Controller (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Putnam, Connecticut, United States

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial documents with supporting schedules for Finance, Operations, site leadership, and corporate finance teams.
• Partner with the Plant Controller and operations leaders to connect financial performance with operational goals and accountability.
• Analyze and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance across the manufacturing site and value streams.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using hirify.global Business System, Lean, and Six Sigma tools to optimize costs, controls, reporting, and SAP processes.
• Own site budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, audit readiness, GAAP compliance, and financial policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations on standard costing for existing and new products based on manufacturing value streams and cost drivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field with 5+ years of experience; or a master’s degree with 3+ years; or a doctoral degree with 0–2 years.
• Experience in a manufacturing or plant-based work environment.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting, SOX, budgeting, cost control, and reporting systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including collaboration with site-based manufacturing colleagues and the Plant Manager.
• Ability to travel to Pall sites or other locations up to 10% as required.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Experience with SAP or OneStream.
