Energy Consultant (Energy)

Location: Columbus, Ohio; the role develops small business customers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and includes in-person canvassing.

What you will do

• Identify and develop a portfolio of small business customers for retail electric supply.
• Make cold calls, follow up with prospects, and conduct in-person business canvassing.
• Collect customer, account, meter, and usage information and maintain accurate CRM records.
• Pre-qualify opportunities, assess customer creditworthiness, and prepare prospects for executable pricing.
• Present energy solutions, address objections, negotiate agreement readiness, and close sales.
• Follow industry regulations and internal standards while incorporating feedback from management and quality assurance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, plan proactively, manage competing priorities, and work effectively under stress.
• Self-direction, discipline, problem-solving ability, relationship-building skills, and a results-oriented approach.
