IT Product Manager, SAP (Hybrid)

Location: East Berlin, Connecticut, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays; availability for up to five office days may be required. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire and emergency restoration assignments may be required.

What you will do

• Own the SAP Finance product roadmap and align priorities with finance transformation objectives, enterprise strategy, regulatory needs, and risk reduction.
• Define business outcomes, future-state processes, product features, user journeys, and measurable value with Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
• Manage program-level backlogs across SAP Finance workstreams, including prioritization, refinement, sequencing, estimation, and PI objective alignment.
• Lead SAFe operating rhythms, including PI Planning, system demos, inspect-and-adapt sessions, dependency management, and cross-team alignment.
• Coordinate Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, architects, system integrators, and delivery teams to convert roadmaps into features, stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
• Drive SAP S/4HANA Finance modernization across general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, financial close, reporting, controls, integrations, and related domains.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of progressive experience in IT product management, SAP delivery, finance technology, ERP transformation, or enterprise business applications.
• Strong SAP Finance experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, migrations, or large-scale transformation programs.
• Heavy practical experience with SAFe, Agile Release Trains, program backlogs, PI Planning, PI objectives, dependency management, and coordination across multiple Agile teams.
• Hands-on knowledge of core finance and accounting processes, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, asset accounting, financial close, controls, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Leading SAFe, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with SAP Central Finance, SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, Fiori, enterprise reporting, integration platforms, or data conversion.
• Experience in utility, energy, regulated, or asset-intensive industries.
• Experience managing vendors, system integrators, and distributed delivery teams.
