Senior Product Owner (Energy SaaS)

Location: Remote within the United States. Eligibility is restricted to U.S. persons, including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees, and refugees, due to U.S. critical infrastructure protection regulations.

Salary: $154,000–$209,000 annual base salary depending on U.S. market tier, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Translate product and company strategy into prioritized, outcome-based roadmaps.
• Engage customers to validate needs, concepts, assumptions, and backlog priorities.
• Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases while balancing technical debt, features, and defects.
• Guide solutioning and delivery with engineering, product design, customer success, sales, and other stakeholders.
• Own scope, sequencing, release readiness, product metrics, and decisions about product investment.
• Mentor product owners and help improve Agile development processes and team practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in B2B SaaS software organizations and 4+ years in a Product Owner role.
• Required experience and knowledge in the energy or utility industry, including transmission planning and/or interconnection processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communication with executive-level stakeholders.
• In-depth understanding of Agile software development methodology.
• Strong organization, prioritization, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and deliverables.
• Undergraduate STEM degree or equivalent experience is preferred; Professional Engineer certification in Power Systems is also preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in a utility, ISO/RTO, or utility-scale project developer.
• Professional Engineer certification in Power Systems.
