Program Manager - AFTAS Pro (Aerospace)

Location: Work from a contractor facility within 30 minutes of Arlington, Virginia, with regular travel to customer sites in the National Capital Region.

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Own delivery across program management, IT modernization, enterprise architecture, industrial base analysis, AI integration, and acquisition support work streams.
• Lead strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, and responses to changing task requirements.
• Set and enforce quality standards across a distributed technical team.
• Serve as the primary interface to the government Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Author and maintain project management plans, quality control plans, phase-in and transition-out plans, and program management review materials.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel approvals, including short-notice requests.

Requirements

• 5+ years managing multi-project or multi-task technical or advisory and assistance services engagements.
• Master's degree in business or engineering.
• Current PMP certification in good standing.
• Active Secret clearance required; interim Secret clearance may be considered with approval.
• Ability to work at a contractor facility near Arlington, Virginia, with regular travel to National Capital Region customer sites.

Nice to have

• DAWIA Practitioner or Advanced certification in Program Management, or prior service in a Department of Defense program office.
• Experience supporting Air Force or Secretary of the Air Force acquisition organizations.
• Experience with performance-based contracts measured against defined service thresholds.
• Experience standing up new engagements, including phase-in, onboarding at scale, and clearance processing.
