Director, ECO Technology & Data (BSA/AML)

Location: Hybrid role based in eligible offices in San Francisco, Lehi, or New York; in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement will not be considered. Local hours are required across PT, MT, or ET time zones. Travel to hirify.global offices or other locations may be required.

Salary: $175,000–$230,000 base salary, plus potential equity and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Define and execute the BSA/AML data, technology, analytics, and transaction monitoring strategy.
• Lead cross-functional delivery across Compliance, Technology, Risk, business lines, and third-party vendors.
• Oversee technology implementations supporting case investigations, transaction monitoring, KYC, sanctions, and watchlist screening.
• Build and manage transaction monitoring rule design, optimization, analytics, and performance measurement.
• Own BSA/AML data requirements for risk assessments, reporting, quality assurance, controls, regulatory inquiries, and issue remediation.
• Use AI and automation responsibly while maintaining explainability, governance, human oversight, and regulatory rigor.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in banking or financial services, with deep expertise in BSA/AML data, technology, analytics, or transaction monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions, watchlist screening, and supporting data and technology capabilities.
• Experience with BSA/AML platforms such as Verafin, Bridger, Oscilar, or similar solutions.
• Experience leading quantitative analytics, model or transaction monitoring optimization, and adoption across teams.
• Experience with model governance, validation, regulatory requirements, data governance, and responsible AI adoption.

Nice to have

• Experience with sanctions and watchlist screening technology.
• Experience supporting regulatory examinations for BSA/AML or Sanctions programs.
• CAMS or a similar AML certification.
