Director, Risk Practice - Visa Consulting & Analytics

Location: US - Ashburn, VA; at least 3 days in the office required

Salary: $163,500–$307,600 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable

What you will do

• Lead hirify.global Consulting & Analytics’ Credit and Identity Risk Practice for North American hirify.global clients.
• Design, implement, and optimize strategies across the credit lifecycle.
• Deliver consulting projects covering credit policy, underwriting, line management, and bespoke risk management initiatives.
• Advise clients on prospecting, identity risk, authorizations, disputes, collections, and fraud operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage complex client engagements.
• Use risk indicators, data analytics, and emerging AI and digital applications to improve performance and ROI.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 8+ years with an advanced degree, or 3+ years with a PhD.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience managing credit risk in financial institutions or a large management consulting firm.
• Experience with credit risk management, consulting frameworks, and credit lifecycle optimization.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk governance, banking operations, payment schemes, and card issuing or acquiring.
• Strong analytical, communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in the Ashburn, Virginia office at least 3 days per week and travel domestically approximately 5–10%.
