Location: Onsite at HSHS - St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin; applicants must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

  • Perform patient admitting and pre-registration activities for hospital services.
  • Assign medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, process physician orders, and complete compliance checks.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, select plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
  • Explain consent, Medicare, Tricare, observation, and other patient forms; obtain signatures and document distribution.
  • Conduct medical necessity screening with ABN software and complete required documentation.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard, conduct account audits, and provide compassionate customer service.

Requirements

  • Onsite availability at HSHS - St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls, WI is required.
  • Residence and authorization to work in the United States are required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Inquisitive mindset and openness to innovation, including AI.
  • HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification required within 9 months of hire.
