TL;DR
Engineer Technician I (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting purification systems while decontaminating, sampling, filling, and inspecting high-volume products with an accent on chemical handling, product quality, and manufacturing safety. Focus on maintaining lab and production equipment, submitting chemistry samples for analysis, meeting on-time delivery targets, and implementing process improvements.

Location: Austin, Texas, with the role based at the Burnet site. Onsite position with day or night shifts on a 3-2-2-3 schedule: 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. after training and certification.

What you will do

  • Start, monitor, and troubleshoot purification systems.
  • Decontaminate manufacturing equipment and perform valve building, harvesting, filling, and solids-related operations.
  • Collect chemistry samples and submit them to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Sample, fill, and inspect final products against quality standards.
  • Maintain laboratory operations, including preventive maintenance, supply ordering, cleanup, and waste disposal.
  • Support on-time delivery, cross-functional work, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 0–1 years of experience in a technical field such as chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, or automotive operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of decontamination, valve building, harvesting, filling, and solids operations.
  • Communication, training, troubleshooting, flexibility, and production-support skills.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lb and push up to 130 lb.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field.
  • Previous chemical handling or manufacturing experience.
  • Inventory management knowledge and SAP experience.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45000.
