What you will do

• Develop and manage quality improvement project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Lead internal quality audits and verify manufacturing compliance with specifications, policies, and quality standards.
• Lead 8D investigations, root-cause analysis, containment, corrective and preventive actions, and follow-up monitoring.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and quality stand-downs with technicians, supervisors, engineers, and operations managers.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers and manufacturing teams to resolve supplier-related nonconformances and prevent line disruptions.
• Monitor process performance, prepare statistical reports, and communicate project status and results to management.

Requirements

• Experience managing complex quality improvement projects and ensuring stakeholder execution and schedule adherence.
• Understanding of manufacturing operations and quality management system requirements.
• Knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, Six Sigma, and 8D methodologies.
• Ability to solve complex problems, analyze multiple information sources, and develop solutions based on ROI and business objectives.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and technicians, lead large projects, build consensus, and translate management objectives into practical actions.
• Ability and willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor in Austin, Texas; travel is required approximately 10% of the time.
