Manufacturing Technician II (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite cleanroom and manufacturing work

Salary: $20.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repairs using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists.
• Receive and audit parts, inspect them for defects, and troubleshoot or improve manufacturing processes.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies and components.
• Complete job documentation covering progress, expenses, and labor details.
• Perform computer programming, repairs, or software installations when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor or display experience, or comparable industry or military experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding cleanroom environment, including prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and work in tight spaces.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment and operate hand and power tools; forklift or heavy machinery operation may be required.

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certification, or relevant training.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
• ASSEET or BSEET qualification, including DeVry or TSTC training.
