Software Engineer I, Endpoint Sensor (C++)

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, plus benefits and possible incentive plans.

What you will do

• Implement features and fixes in endpoint agents for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Develop kernel-mode components, Endpoint Security extensions, and Network Extensions.
• Contribute to detection paths and inline enforcement logic for data-loss prevention.
• Integrate endpoint capabilities with backend and product workflows.
• Build observability, performance, and stability into always-on production components.
• Review and defend code, including code created with AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Experience building production software through professional work, internships, coursework, or hands-on projects.
• Strong C++ fundamentals, including memory management, concurrency, and performance trade-offs.
• Hands-on interest in systems programming on Linux, macOS, or Windows.
• Exposure to kernel-mode drivers, Windows Filtering Platform, Endpoint Security, Network Extensions, eBPF, or similar technologies.
• Ability to understand existing architecture, make sound small-scale design decisions, and reason about adversarial behavior and insider risk.
• Ability to independently verify, understand, and take responsibility for output from AI coding assistants.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust, Swift, or systems-level Linux development.
• Cross-platform development experience across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Exposure to network-layer monitoring, data security, or data loss prevention.
• Experience shipping enterprise software, including installation, automatic updates, or multi-tenant configuration.
• A portfolio demonstrating hands-on systems work.
