Capture Manager (Federal Government Technology)

Location: Remote position associated with Washington, DC and the United States

Salary: $118,000–$174,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage capture activities for assigned federal opportunities from qualification through transition to proposal.
• Develop capture plans using established processes and Shipley Capture Management best practices.
• Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams, milestones, deliverables, gate reviews, and leadership updates.
• Research customer missions, procurement timelines, markets, competitors, win themes, differentiators, and positioning.
• Collaborate with solution architects, delivery teams, pricing, contracts, recruiting, and subject matter experts to develop pursuit solutions.
• Support teaming activities and responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and other federal procurement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant professional experience; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
• Experience supporting or managing capture activities in the federal government contracting environment.
• Experience with cross-functional business development, capture, or proposal teams.
• Experience supporting federal RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, or similar procurement activities.
• Knowledge of federal acquisition processes, government contracting, contract types, GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, and other contract vehicles.
• Strong communication, organization, collaboration, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills in a remote environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with technology, digital services, IT modernization, cloud, data, cybersecurity, or software development opportunities.
• Experience with Shipley or similar capture and proposal management methodologies.
• Experience with competitive assessments, win themes, solution development, teaming strategies, or price-to-win activities.
• Experience with federal civilian or health agencies and federal procurement systems.
