Senior Legal Operations Program Manager (AI)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; hybrid work with two days per week in the San Mateo office. Full relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Salary: $149,800–$224,600 USD per year, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead complex cross-functional Legal programs from planning through delivery, including roadmaps, milestones, priorities, risks, and success measures.
• Manage Legal technology workstreams in Asana and support short-, mid-, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Finance, Procurement, Privacy, vendors, and business stakeholders on requirements, implementations, integrations, upgrades, and optimization.
• Improve Legal workflows through process mapping, root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, standardized processes, playbooks, and documentation.
• Develop reporting, KPIs, analytics, budget planning, and operational insights for Legal leadership.
• Evaluate, pilot, implement, and support adoption of AI-powered legal tools, generative AI, and intelligent automation with appropriate governance and change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in program or project management, legal operations, or legal project management within a corporate legal department or leading law firm.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution and manage multiple priorities.
• Hands-on experience with Asana and legal technology platforms such as CLM, eBilling, Matter Management, or IP/Trademark management.
• Experience with process improvement, operational excellence, KPI development, executive reporting, and stakeholder management.
• Strong communication, analytical, prioritization, and influence skills.

Nice to have

• PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or a similar certification.
• Experience with IP and Trademark management applications such as Anaqua, Clarivate, or CPA Global.
• Experience evaluating or scaling AI-powered legal technology.
• Familiarity with SAP, Coupa, Tableau, Domo, Power BI, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience in global, matrixed technology, gaming, entertainment, or consumer businesses, or involvement with CLOC and the Legal Operations community.
