Senior Legal Operations Program Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Mateo, California, United States; two days per week in the San Mateo office. Full relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Salary: $149,800–$224,600 USD per year, plus potential bonus.

What you will do

• Lead complex cross-functional Legal programs from planning through delivery, including roadmaps, priorities, milestones, and success measures.
• Manage Legal technology workstreams in Asana and support short-, mid-, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Finance, Procurement, Privacy, vendors, and business stakeholders on discovery, implementations, integrations, upgrades, and optimization.
• Improve Legal workflows through process mapping, root cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, standardized processes, playbooks, and documentation.
• Support vendor management, budget planning, reporting, analytics, KPIs, and executive-level program updates.
• Evaluate and implement AI-powered legal tools, intelligent automation, governance, risk assessment, training, and change management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in program management, legal operations, or legal project management within a corporate legal department or leading law firm.
• Hands-on experience with Asana and legal technology platforms such as CLM, eBilling, Matter Management, IP/Trademark management, or related tools.
• Experience with process improvement and operational excellence methodologies, including data analysis, KPI development, and executive reporting.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, prioritization, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to work in the hybrid San Mateo office two days per week.

Nice to have

• PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or a similar certification.
• Experience with Anaqua, Clarivate, CPA Global, SAP, Coupa, Tableau, Domo, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience evaluating, implementing, or scaling AI-powered legal technology.
• Experience in a global, matrixed technology, gaming, entertainment, or consumer business.
• CLOC involvement or engagement with the Legal Operations community.
