Strategic Projects Lead, Recruiting

Location: San Francisco, California; New York City, New York; or Seattle, Washington, with staff expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time

What you will do

• Lead complex, ambiguous recruiting initiatives from problem definition through testing, launch, and transition into repeatable programs.
• Coordinate the operating rhythm across Recruiting Systems, Analytics, Interview Programs, and other teams.
• Design recruiting processes and drive company-wide changes through adoption with cross-functional partners.
• Own recruiting headcount and workforce planning, including hiring pace and readiness for new regions.
• Set operating standards for interviewing, scheduling lead time, interviewer load, analytics, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify recurring operational friction, assess downstream impacts, and resolve issues across team boundaries.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in program management, business operations, chief of staff, or people and talent roles at a fast-growing company.
• Experience working on a talent team or partnering closely with one, with a strong understanding of recruiting operations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams, make prioritization decisions, and create structure in ambiguous environments.
• Experience setting strategy, leading major process or policy changes, and driving organizational adoption.
• Experience applying AI in real workflows, including process redesign and automation of repetitive work.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Nice to have

• Experience running recruiting or talent operations at global scale.
• Working knowledge of OFCCP, GDPR, regional employment law, and recruiting compliance.
• Experience in deep-tech environments with technical recruiting complexity.
• Experience operating across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.
