Senior Product Quality Engineer (Hardware)

Location: Hybrid in Tainan City, Taiwan; domestic and international travel of up to 30% required.

What you will do

• Assess product risks early using FMEA, NUD processes, and lessons learned; define mitigation strategies and test plans.
• Coordinate Supplier Quality, Field Quality, Reliability, Failure Analysis, and Safety functions.
• Lead cross-functional investigations of critical quality issues through root cause analysis, 8D/RCCA, corrective action, and closure.
• Define, implement, and audit quality processes at FATP manufacturing sites.
• Develop predictive warranty-rate models from field-test and reliability data.
• Communicate quality risks and improvements to leadership and influence partners on field-performance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or another technical discipline.
• 6+ years of product-development experience, including 3+ years in a quality role for complex electro-mechanical products.
• Experience with NPI cycles and driving quality improvements during product development.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams through business-critical quality issues.
• Ability to develop specifications and test plans and translate test results into field predictions.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality methodologies including DOE, MSA, hypothesis testing, GR&R, and Cpk; experience with Minitab or JMP.

• Advanced degree in Science or Engineering.
• Six Sigma Green Belt training or certification.
