Raw Material Quality and Supplier Management Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: On-site in Newark, Delaware, United States; 10–30% travel to raw material suppliers.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain raw material quality requirements and critical process control parameters for manufacturing.
• Plan and execute material qualifications, trials, final reports, and security-of-supply activities.
• Manage supplier performance through audits, technical meetings, improvement activities, training, feedback, and site visits.
• Assess supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems to develop raw material FMEAs and improve process controls.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for supplied-material issues, developing mitigation strategies to prevent product-quality excursions.
• Communicate technical results and project progress to customers, suppliers, technical teams, management, and business leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of combined experience in manufacturing, development/scale-up, quality, or continuous improvement engineering.
• Experience in the semiconductor, specialty chemical, or pharmaceutical industry and in projects involving customers or suppliers.
• Working knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, Six Sigma, and statistical software such as JMP and Minitab.
• Strong technical problem-solving, critical-thinking, project-management, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Newark, Delaware and travel 10–30% to raw material suppliers.

• Lean or Six Sigma project certification.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
