TL;DR
Senior Quality Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Improving parts, processes, and semiconductor manufacturing systems through failure analysis, corrective actions, FMEA, audits, and data-driven quality methods with an accent on product reliability, process performance, and ISO 9001 compliance. Focus on leading cross-functional improvement initiatives, facilitating Failure Review Boards, solving complex quality issues, and sustaining measurable results through Lean and Six Sigma practices.

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; 100% onsite. Regular attendance at the hirify.global facility is required, with occasional business travel.

What you will do

  • Develop issue-intake processes and lead failure analysis from problem definition through corrective and preventive actions.
  • Facilitate Failure Review Board meetings, communicate findings, and drive actions to closure.
  • Conduct FMEA sessions, risk-ranking workshops, and process-performance analysis.
  • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives across Development & Engineering and connect feedback from customers, factories, supply chain, and integration teams.
  • Plan internal assessments and prepare for external audits against ISO 9001 standards.
  • Document analyses, decisions, and results for management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical, manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, mechatronics, optical engineering, applied physics, or another relevant technical field.
  • At least five years of quality-engineering experience in manufacturing or high-tech hardware.
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies, statistical process control, design of experiments, FMEA, measurement system analysis, and control plans.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, audit preparation, Lean, and Six Sigma project leadership.
  • Strong data-analysis and reporting skills, including Excel and macros; experience with Python, Minitab, or Power BI is advantageous.
  • Must work onsite in Wilton, Connecticut, and be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations.

Nice to have

  • Internal audit certification.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience working in cleanroom or laboratory environments under ISO 9000/14000 standards.
