Data Center Technician I

Location: Onsite in Chandler, Arizona, United States; regular in-person attendance required. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $62,000–$72,000 per year

What you will do

• Maintain data center infrastructure by racking equipment, replacing hard drives and system components, troubleshooting defects, and managing spare-part inventory.
• Set up, test, and activate equipment through the Linux command line and support shipping, receiving, packing, and unpacking.
• Execute server installations, migrations, upgrades, and new system implementations from equipment setup through production.
• Work with IT, NetEng, NOC, and SRE teams to test and validate infrastructure functionality.
• Respond to data center infrastructure incidents and Jira tickets, escalating hardware, power, and network issues when needed.
• Participate in on-call operations, including occasional onsite response within 24x7 coverage.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data center or server infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on knowledge of server hardware and deployments.
• Proficiency with structured cabling, fiber optics, and patch panel management.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and basic scripting.
• Strong communication, time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Chandler and remain within one hour of the facility for on-call responsibilities.
