2027 Summer Internship - Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: 100% onsite in Kinston, North Carolina; candidates must live within driving distance for the summer internship.

What you will do

• Support the launch and industrialization of a new production line.
• Develop rework instructions for non-conformities that deviate from design documentation.
• Coordinate repair activities with MAP and Design Office engineers.
• Support projects focused on production productivity and process improvement.
• Maintain and update manufacturing processes from a technical perspective.
• Help troubleshoot technical issues and improve operational efficiency on the production floor.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Kinston, NC, and live within driving distance for the duration of the internship.
• Working toward a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering, with at least sophomore standing.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and design dossiers.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear written and verbal communication.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• School projects in related engineering or manufacturing fields.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
