Emerging Talent - Manufacturing Internship (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA or Hawthorne, CA, United States

Salary: $35–$42 USD per hour

What you will do

• Design and build space hardware and software for human-rated space station systems.
• Apply engineering skills to hands-on manufacturing and development projects.
• Work on projects across areas including additive manufacturing, avionics, fluids, harnessing, industrial engineering, integration, machine shop, materials and processes, mechanical subassemblies, structures, and vehicle testing.
• Solve challenging real-world engineering problems with guidance from industry mentors.
• Collaborate across hiring teams and engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Degree focus in manufacturing, mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach or Hawthorne, California.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing because the role provides access to U.S.-controlled information and items.
• Attention to detail, engineering problem-solving ability, and basic knowledge of engineering and equipment.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and work independently.

Nice to have

• Technical experience from extracurricular or personal projects, laboratory research, volunteering, or previous internships.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA for 3D modeling and simulation.
• Working knowledge of engineering analysis tools.
• Positive attitude and team spirit.
