Process Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Norwich, Connecticut, USA

Nordson EFD designs and manufactures fluid dispensing systems and single-use fluid packaging.

What you will do

• Support IQ/OQ/PQ validation testing for new mold tools and equipment, including part measurement, functional testing, data analysis, and qualification reports.
• Apply 5S principles on the production floor, organize work-in-progress and finished-goods areas, and help set up conveyor systems.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
• Propose process improvements in assembly and quality lab operations to increase quality and throughput.
• Support CAPA root cause analysis using Pareto charts, fishbone diagrams, and related tools.
• Prepare and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in an engineering field.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD design software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a manufacturing facility.
• Strong verbal and written communication, self-motivation, and ability to multitask.
• Must work onsite in Norwich, Connecticut, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks.
• Basic knowledge of ERP software, especially SAP or IQMS.
