Location: West Greenwich, Rhode Island, United States; onsite manufacturing facility with rotational 24x7 on-call support.

Salary: USD 105,362.60–142,549.40 annually

What you will do

• Provide technical support for commercial manufacturing process control, automation infrastructure, and process systems.
• Lead and support root cause analysis, incident investigations, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for electrical, instrumentation, and DeltaV control systems.
• Support new product and technology introductions through engineering assessments, automation configuration changes, and engineering runs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, utilities, maintenance, quality assurance, and validation teams across a portfolio of projects.
• Support capital project design reviews, commissioning, qualification, construction, startup, and validation of GMP utilities and process systems.
• Provide rotational 24x7 on-call support and communicate technical issues and solutions across organizational levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 8 years of automation or engineering experience, an associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or a master’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of process automation engineering experience in a manufacturing support environment, including 1+ year in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems preferred.
• Strong control-system automation experience covering design, installation, programming, and validation of automated processes.
• Familiarity with batch control systems, S88, 21 CFR Part 11, validation, GAMP, software development life cycle methods, and change control.

Nice to have

• Experience with mammalian cell culture, protein purification, clean utilities, CIP, SIP, production services, and non-GMP utilities.
• Experience with tech transfer, process design, commissioning, and validation methodology.
