Corporate Controller (Retail)

Location: Dallas, TX, United States; office-based role

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and deliver accurate, timely financial results.
• Own complex consolidations across entities, business lines, systems, and intercompany relationships.
• Oversee consolidated financial statements, close schedules, accounting analyses, and audit-ready support for SEC filings.
• Improve close procedures, account reconciliation standards, review protocols, and internal control documentation.
• Partner with technology, finance, operations, and business leaders on ERP, consolidation, reporting, reconciliation, and workflow automation initiatives.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team while coordinating with auditors, internal audit, tax, treasury, legal, FP&A, and business partners.

Requirements

• Experience leading complex financial close and consolidation processes.
• Ability to support public company reporting and SEC filing requirements.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal control design and execution, deficiency remediation, and control optimization.
• Experience improving accounting processes through automation and workflow enhancements.
• Ability to evaluate accounting implications of strategic initiatives, business models, technology investments, system changes, and corporate transactions.
• Ability to perform general office functions, including sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
