Corporate Controller (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Garden Grove, California / Los Angeles; on-site

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annual salary

Privately held, value-add commercial real estate owner/operator with office, industrial, and retail assets across Southern California.

What you will do

• Perform full-cycle accounting for corporate and property ownership entities.
• Prepare entity-level and corporate financial statements, lender reports, and reserve reporting.
• Manage intercompany accounting, allocations, eliminations, management fees, G&A, and intercompany billings.
• Manage property-level accounting in MRI, including CAM estimates, reconciliations, and tenant billings.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, cash management, audits, tax preparation, acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Identify process improvements and support oversight of MRI and Avid systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including commercial real estate and property accounting.
• Hands-on MRI experience required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with intercompany accounting.
• On-site work in Garden Grove, California / Los Angeles.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA qualification.
• Experience with multi-entity commercial real estate accounting.
