Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer (DeltaV)

Location: West Greenwich, Rhode Island, United States; onsite manufacturing facility with rotational 24x7 on-call support.

Salary: $86,685.55–$117,280.45 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical support for commercial manufacturing process control, automation infrastructure, and process systems.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and DeltaV-based control systems.
• Support new product and technology introductions through engineering assessments, automation configuration changes, and engineering runs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, utilities, maintenance, quality assurance, and validation teams.
• Support capital project commissioning and qualification, including design, construction, startup, and validation of GMP utilities and process systems.
• Provide rotational 24x7 on-call support and lead operational improvements and engineering projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 6 years of automation or engineering experience, an associate degree with 4 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of process automation engineering experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of batch control standards, software development lifecycle methods, S88, 21 CFR Part 11, validation, and GAMP is preferred.
• Experience with validation, change control, tech transfer, process design, or commissioning is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with mammalian cell culture, protein purification, clean utilities, CIP, SIP, production services, and non-GMP utilities.
