TL;DR
Assoc. Director of Transformational Quality Programs (Food Safety & Quality): Translating the North America Food Safety & Quality transformation strategy into coordinated execution across sites and functions with an accent on quality governance, site-level improvement plans, and regulatory compliance. Focus on driving a three-year transformation plan, coordinating cross-functional quality programs, and establishing accountability for risk-based, sustainable improvements.

Location: Glenview, IL, at the Glenview R&D Center

Base salary: $164,200–$205,200 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus

What you will do

  • Translate the North America Food Safety & Quality transformation strategy into coordinated execution plans across sites and functions.
  • Deploy quality programs, governance mechanisms, capital projects, facility upgrades, and product protection initiatives.
  • Direct Quality, Laboratory, and Sanitation leaders in resolving defined quality issues and sustaining performance.
  • Coordinate with Global Quality Council members and committees to implement policies through local standards and operating routines.
  • Drive the three-year FSQ North America transformation plan across six pillars and two enablers.
  • Establish ownership, sequencing, performance expectations, and accountability for risk-based and sustainable improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related science or technology field.
  • Preferred: at least 15 years of experience in a food-related or scientific field.
  • Understanding of food manufacturing and applicable USDA, FDA, or CFIA regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, root cause analysis, and other quality or continuous improvement tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups and manage, develop, and retain talent.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and ability to work at the Glenview location.
