Quality Assurance Associate (Food Distribution)

What you will do

• Validate inbound and outbound warehouse production by inspecting trailers, locations, pallets, cases, and split-case totes.
• Verify brands, varieties, quantities, order accuracy, pallet integrity, and food safety compliance.
• Identify mispicks, misplaced cases, and pallet construction issues through quality control checks.
• Work with selectors and leadership to correct discrepancies and rebuild or restack pallets.
• Document issues and support root-cause analysis to prevent recurring errors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Knowledge of inventory accuracy validation, pallet construction standards, food safety requirements, and basic LEAN concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard web-based tools, with clear communication and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, safely lift or move up to 50 pounds, and operate powered industrial trucks.
• Ability to work in temperature-controlled environments from -10°F to ambient and in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience in food distribution, quality assurance, inventory control, or clerking.
• Additional training in quality, food safety, or warehouse operations.
