Electrician (Industrial Refrigeration)

Location: Lyndhurst, Virginia, USA; onsite, first shift Monday–Friday with alternating Saturdays

What you will do

• Install conduit, wiring, disconnects, switches, circuit panels, breakers, transformers, and wire terminations.
• Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair electrical systems, automation systems, and motor control circuits.
• Troubleshoot wiring layouts, circuit routing, PLC sensors, and electrical problems on refrigeration equipment.
• Read and maintain mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and schematics.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts when required and assist with general construction duties.
• Use electrical testing equipment safely and accurately.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of industrial electrical experience; Journeyman credentials are preferred.
• Experience running and bending rigid conduit up to at least 4 inches.
• Knowledge of three-phase motors and familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
• Experience with 480V AC motor control circuits and PLC installation or troubleshooting is preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to pass pre-employment and regular drug testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, work at heights and in confined spaces, and remain on foot for most of the shift.
