Electrician (Industrial Refrigeration)

Location: Lyndhurst, Virginia, USA; onsite shop position

Salary: $30–40 per hour

hirify.global designs, manufactures, constructs, commissions, services, and supports industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂.

What you will do

• Install conduit, wiring, disconnects, switches, circuit panels, breakers, transformers, and wire terminations.
• Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair electrical systems, automation systems, and motor control circuits.
• Troubleshoot wiring layouts, circuit routing, and electrical problems on refrigeration equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot PLC sensors and maintain mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.
• Operate forklifts or scissor lifts and assist with general construction duties.
• Use electrical testing equipment safely and accurately.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of industrial electrical experience; 5+ years are listed for the position.
• Journeyman credentials are preferred.
• Experience running and bending rigid conduit up to at least 4 inches.
• Knowledge of three-phase motors, 480V AC motor control circuits, PLC installation and troubleshooting, and the National Electrical Code.
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Must pass pre-employment and regular drug testing; this is a safety-sensitive position. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, work at heights and in confined spaces, and remain on foot for most of the shift.
