District Manager (Optical Retail)

Location: Kansas City, Missouri, USA; travel throughout the district is required.

What you will do

• Lead operational and strategic activities across retail stores within an assigned district.
• Drive profitable sales through business analytics, strategic planning, and execution of sales and profit programs.
• Oversee store operations, compliance, safety, merchandising, pricing promotions, and customer service standards.
• Analyze store reports, identify trends and performance issues, and provide progress updates to regional leadership.
• Recruit, assess, coach, and retain store managers and develop high-performing district leadership teams.
• Build professional relationships with doctors and maintain frequent contact with store management.

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of retail management or operations experience.
• 2–4 years of multi-unit retail management or operations experience.
• 4–6 years of experience as a general manager, assistant manager, or similar retail or optical management professional.
• Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of the optical industry required; ABO and NCLE certification preferred.
