Assistant Manager (Optical Retail)

What you will do

• Monitor profit, sales, and performance goals, including reviewing P&L reports.
• Oversee the eyeglass department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain outstanding customer service and enforce quality standards, including reviewing remakes.
• Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and corporate office and complete store reporting.
• Coordinate promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising across the store.
• Supervise, motivate, recruit, and support the development of Opticians, contact lens sales associates, and other store staff.

Requirements

• Optical sales experience; supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and build effective associate relationships.
• Understanding of store operations and performance standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Organizational, analytical, financial reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Some duties may require licenses or credentials under applicable state laws.
