CMM Programmer/Metrology

What you will do

• Provide oversight for the coordinate measuring machine process and support the metrology program.
• Create, revise, update, and troubleshoot CMM programs for products and parts.
• Inspect fixtures and tooling using CMMs and perform direct measurements to verify IMT&E accuracy.
• Plan testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment using blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Perform CMM maintenance, recommend preventive-maintenance schedules, and coordinate external vendor service.
• Evaluate measurement systems through gauge R&R and correlation studies supporting manufacturing.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to the client requirement.
• High school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience, or an associate degree in engineering technology or a related field with 4 years of experience.
• Formal military PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school training with proof of attendance.
• Experience or certification in coordinate measuring machine programming.
• Familiarity with Y14 GD&T specifications.
• Expertise in dimensional and physical calibration is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cal QC, Minitab, GOM, IndySoft, Fluke Met/Team, Fluke Met/Track, or Met/Cal.
• PC-DMIS or additional CMM experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including Excel.
• PMEL, TMDE, or calibration school training.
