Loan Officer Assistant (Mortgage)

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri; applicants with the right qualifications may work remotely. Occasional minimal travel may be required.

What you will do

• Support Senior Mortgage Bankers throughout the origination of residential real estate loans.
• Collaborate with Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post-Closing, Shipping, and Secondary teams.
• Gather, analyze, upload, and label documentation in the Encompass e-folder.
• Follow up with clients on critical documents and support timely loan closings.
• Manage data entry, credit pulls, and DU, LP, and GUS submissions through the loan origination system.
• Coordinate marketing activities, appointments, business gatherings, and referral-partner relationships.

Requirements

• Required experience with mortgage loans or in a Loan Officer Assistant role.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated approach and willingness to learn quickly.
• Ability to work for prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer.
• Negotiation and budgeting skills; vendor and contractor experience is preferred.
