Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Austin, Texas, USA; hybrid. Hiring is not available in Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming, or Vermont.

Salary: USD 150,000–170,000 yearly, plus potential bonuses, incentives, and employee benefits.

What you will do

• Drive high-impact infrastructure and operational improvement projects across Engineering, Security, and DevOps.
• Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure-as-code, system configurations, and deployment tooling.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide escalation support for deployment workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate training on platform operations and architecture.
• Document infrastructure standards, architectural decisions, and operational practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code or configuration management, including Ansible, Terraform, or CDK.
• Strong Linux command-line troubleshooting and configuration skills.
• Experience with CI/CD automation and tools such as Jenkins, Harness, GitHub, JFrog, Artifactory, X-Ray, and SonarQube.
• Strong understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Solid Python and Bash programming skills.
• Strong written communication, independent delivery, and willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call support.
