Operations and People Lead - PLMSP

Location: Brisbane, Australia. The role requires valid work rights in Australia and includes domestic and international travel as required.

What you will do

• Lead the Operations and People portfolio as a member of the PLMSP Senior Leadership Team.
• Oversee finance, budgeting, procurement, contracting, grants management, human resources, safeguards, safety and security, and office operations across six locations.
• Provide strategic advice and assurance to program leadership and DFAT on operational, financial, people, governance, and risk matters.
• Develop and improve systems and processes that strengthen compliance, efficiency, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Lead integrated risk management, including fraud, anti-corruption, child protection, and delivery risks.
• Set performance and leadership direction for geographically dispersed Operations, Safety and Security, and People and Culture teams.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in business administration, organisational leadership, change management, public policy, international development, program management, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within complex programs, organisations, or business functions.
• Experience leading organisational change, business improvement, governance reform, strategic risk management, or organisational transformation.
• Experience operating in politically sensitive or rapidly changing environments and making sound decisions amid ambiguity.
• Strong experience engaging senior government, client, or executive stakeholders; DFAT experience is highly desirable.
• Valid work rights in Australia are required; visa sponsorship is not available.
