Health Insurance Data Analyst (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional work may be required at a Booz Allen or customer facility.

Salary: $99,000–$225,000 annualized USD.

What you will do

• Analyze medical and pharmacy claims data across commercial and Medicare environments.
• Develop advanced analytics, algorithms, and data-driven solutions using Python and SQL.
• Support Medicare risk adjustment policy and Part C/D program operations.
• Translate complex technical analyses into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Work with clients and stakeholder groups to understand analytical needs and provide technical assistance.
• Guide teammates and lead data-driven projects in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience on analytics teams and leading data-driven projects.
• 3+ years of experience working with healthcare claims data, including medical and pharmacy claims.
• Experience with Medicare risk adjustment policy or Part C and D program operations.
• Advanced analytics and coding experience with Python and SQL.
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience, or 10+ years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination; selected applicants may be subject to a government investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Medicare Advantage Encounter Data and Prescription Drug Event data.
• Experience providing technical assistance through varied delivery formats.
