Software Engineer, Fan Engagement (React/Node.js)

Location: New York, United States; office-based with work from the office 4 days per week

Salary: $185,000–$210,000 USD annualized

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of features and subsystems end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable web systems.
• Identify improvements to codebases, systems, and development practices.
• Participate in system design discussions and solve moderately complex technical problems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver user-centered solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Professional experience delivering production-quality software and owning features from design through deployment.
• Proficiency developing professional web applications with modern development frameworks.
• Experience with React and Node.js.
• Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, system design, debugging, testing strategies, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently on moderately complex problems and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with performance optimization, scalability, reliability, cross-team collaboration, and mentoring engineers.
