Full Stack Engineer, Ruby and React - Vice President (Ruby/React)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; office work Monday–Thursday with remote work flexibility on Friday

Salary: $125,000–$155,000 per year, depending on level, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Develop new features and enhancements for web applications using React on the frontend and Ruby on Rails on the backend.
• Resolve defects across one or more software platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Management to detail requirements, review work in progress, and address issues found during manual testing.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design, daily stand-ups, and peer code reviews.
• Apply system design and architectural judgment while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• 5+ years of Ruby on Rails development experience, or 8+ years of Python development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• 4+ years of frontend and backend test automation development using RSpec, Cucumber, or similar tools.
• Understanding of relational databases and modeling practices, plus familiarity with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and AWS.
• Ability to work with Agile/Kanban methods, independently and collaboratively, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
