Engineer 2 - Selling Empowerment

Location: Remote in the United States, except Arkansas, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming

Salary: $103,000–$188,500 per year, depending on location, skills, knowledge, and experience

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software for retail and ecommerce systems.
• Build and maintain infrastructure, applications, and services supporting selling and relationship-management tools.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, architecture discussions, and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain production systems for reliability and performance.
• Improve development processes and tools while using AI development assistants responsibly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript; TypeScript, React, and Node experience is preferred.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern web or backend frameworks.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and maintain clear documentation.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from an allowed US state.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail, ecommerce, or logistics technology.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as New Relic.
• Experience with agile methodologies, remote-first practices, or hybrid engineering teams.
• Mentoring experience and interest in improving customer experiences through technology.
