Software Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: On-site in Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Salary: $25 per hour

What you will do

• Build and ship production features for web applications and APIs serving government customers.
• Design, document, and implement REST API endpoints with senior engineers.
• Write unit and integration tests alongside feature development.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Investigate bugs and performance issues across the technology stack.
• Explore AI-assisted development tools and their use in daily engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent program.
• Proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, React, or Node.
• Experience building with AI-driven UX, agents, or workflow automation; direct ML experience is not required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly about technical problems.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and a self-starter mindset.
• Available for the 10-week internship from June 7, 2027 through August 13, 2027.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Angular, React, or Redux.
• Basic experience with Git or similar version control tools.
• Personal or open-source projects, including a GitHub portfolio.
• Strong written or verbal communication skills and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
