Software Engineer III - Eng (Java)

Salary: $102,300–$147,050 USD per year, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock unit awards.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain complex payroll software systems.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and participate in architectural design for scalable and reliable services.
• Lead feature and project delivery, manage priorities and deadlines, and coordinate with product and engineering stakeholders.
• Review code, maintain technical quality standards, and mentor junior engineers.
• Build automated unit and integration tests using tools such as JUnit and Selenium.
• Monitor service health, investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, React, and TypeScript, with experience in front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, software design patterns, version control, and issue tracking systems.
• Understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps principles, and full software ownership from requirements through production maintenance.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and TeamCity or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with test automation frameworks, agile development, accessible technology, and AI or machine learning tools.
• Interest in supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
