Community Associate (EdTech)

Location: New York City, United States; 4 days in the office

Salary: $70,000–$95,000 per year

What you will do

• Plan and run regional events for educators, coaches, coordinators, and curriculum directors.
• Grow and manage the educator ambassador program, including recruitment, onboarding, and nominations.
• Own Magma's presence in online educator communities, including Facebook and LinkedIn groups.
• Run webinars and professional-development programming with Customer Success and the Professional Learning Manager.
• Build customer advocacy by developing references, case studies, speakers, and permission-tracking processes.
• Monitor educator conversations and turn community feedback into actionable intelligence.

Requirements

• Experience in edtech or K–12 education.
• Ability to communicate with classroom teachers and district-level education leaders.
• Strong writing skills for webinar invitations, ambassador communications, and community replies.
• Strong project-management instincts and the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Good judgment when engaging, listening, or handing matters to Support or Sales.
• Openness to travel for events during the school year.

Nice to have

• Experience in community, field marketing, events, customer marketing, or social media.
• Classroom, coaching, or district-office experience.
• Experience creating a new program or moderating an online community through a difficult situation.
• Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM.
